If you have some encouraging words to share, so that she does not feel along, please get them to the Freelancer at The Center for Survivors (the original blogger of this post). I’m sure this woman can us all of us standing behind her. Thank you!
Readers, I’m counting on you.
Recently, I joined a rape/abuse survivor group on Facebook. A woman shared a story there about a friend of hers going through a trial right now in Kentucky.
Her rapist has a huge outpouring of support from the community.
She, on the other hand, has been ostracized from everyone. The guy has friends and money. She is now alone.
The post was asking for anyone who would offer support, and if they were in the area, to show up for her trial and let her know she’s not alone.
She’s not on Facebook, but I’m getting in contact with her. I thought it would be encouraging for her if we could all write her a little something. Not that we all have the exact same experience, but we all do know what it’s like to be alone.
Anyone who wants to share something can comment…
